Introducing Cognitive Ergonomics From the Inside Out, a new ADHD intervention that represents a paradigm shift in how we help those with ADHD. The current paradigm has significant anomalies that cannot be explained and, thus, are ignored or explained by a lack of moral effort (or character). The new paradigm challenges the current view and explains those anomalies that the current paradigm cannot. We recognize that such claims warrant skepticism. Therefore, you have a right to be education, and we have the obligation to educate you on the fundamentals that differentiate Cognitive Ergonomics From the Inside Out from the existing paradigm and support or validate it with evidence that was hidden in plain sight due to cognitive bias of the old paradigm. You can judge our claim based on its merits.
Learning Objectives:
- To understand WHY behavioral training often falls short as an ADHD intervention
- To understand WHY we have been cognitively illiterate, why we need to be cognitively literate, and what we have that enables us to reveal a new intervention
- To understand that we have the ability to define and advocate for accommodations that don’t exist today because we have the technology to define and justify them
