I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Certified EMDR Therapist, EMDR Consultant in Training, an Approved Clinical Supervisor and an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) and the founder of Denver Metro Counseling. I started my career in Public Health working in suicide prevention and in 2005 transitioned into Mental Health. I earned a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2007, received a Certificate in Adolescent Mental Health through the University of Illinois Champagne/Urbana in 2007 and completed ADHD Coaching course through JST Coaching in 2017.
I have extensive training in ADHD, trauma, and suicide intervention and loss and provide workshops for others in the community, including clinicians, in suicide intervention, risk assessment, and management. Since 2006, I have worked in private practice, inpatient psychiatric hospitals and crisis evaluation.
I provide supervision and consultation for other clinicians specifically around suicide risk, assessment, and treatment and ADHD. I started Denver Metro Counseling in 2014 with the goal of creating a place where people feel valued, respected, and supported by their therapist. I have been thoughtful about the growth and direction of DMC and hired and collaborate with people who share the same values and care in providing therapeutic supports.
