Everyday is a new opportunity to start doing the things you want to do, and need to do. Creating the life you want to have and deserve to have, starts with you. It’s yours, and you own it. What if we left old fashioned thinking, stigma and language about ADHD in the past, and moved onward in 2024 with a new mindset, actionable plans, leaning into your strengths and values? A goal without a plan is just wishful thinking. It is much easier to hit a target if we can see it! So let’s lean into that strength of creativity and create actions (and remember them) by using the framework of executive function – and execute those steps one by one, and review what needs to be tweaked and celebrate our successes.
Learning Objectives:
- Discuss how we can change the conversation around ADHD to Disorder to Difference
- Set goals SMARTER- a new look at doing things by the framework of executive functions. Looking at where SMART goals don’t quite finish the job
- Create a clear target for success- breaking steps down into realistic expectations for new actions that you’ll love doing
